This week, we attended a fireside chat with Greg Bettinelli, a partner at Santa Monica based venture capital firm Upfront Ventures.  The event was hosted by Techfire and moderated by Patrick Anding of the law firm Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosani.

The discussion ranged from ideas that attract venture capital, to start-up etiquette, and the best ways to approach VC’s for funding.  It was beneficial to learn about early-stage financing from such an experienced investor.

Among the take-aways, Mr. Bettinelli touched upon the impact new technology may have on the commercial real estate industry.
